Materials reclaimed from the streets of post-hurricane Ike Houston were used to construct this atypical house form.

Built to house a single bed, this structure serves as a cocoon of sorts – providing a place of relaxation at a time of great destruction. Roof shingles made from acrylic signs that littered the streets create a stained-glass ceiling during the day and reflect the interior warmth of hearth and home when lit from the inside at night.
