Gathered from the destruction and chaos found in the streets of Houston in the wake of Hurricane Ike, I reprocessed both the materials and the event as a form of redemption - quite literally making good from bad. Each of these 'Illuminated Cairns' were fitted with flourescent lighting that referenced their original purpose while recontextualizing their ability to advance language and information.
