Reclaimed from the banks of the Mississippi river, this weathered flotation foam had taken on the appearance of it’s surroundings over the years.

These rock ‘proxies’ were assembled into a stone cairn form which was set adrift in the flood plain of the river, subsequently settling down temporarily whenever the river retreated, only to be picked up and relocated with the next rainfall and resulting floods experienced in 2008.
